About the Owners
Jim and Patti Nocek have transformed Anyela’s Vineyard into a flourishing haven of rustic charm and modern viticulture. Nestled among gently rolling hills, the vineyard is a labor of love where tradition meets innovation. Drawing on decades of experience and a passion for quality, the Noceks manage every detail—from sustainably cultivating the grapevines to handcrafting limited-edition wines that capture the unique essence of the terroir. Under their attentive stewardship, Anyela’s Vineyard has not only become a treasured local landmark but also a testament to the rewards of family dedication and the art of winemaking.
A personal message from Jim -
"I was raised on a dairy and grape farm in western NY. While I did not pursue production agriculture initially, it was always part of my fabric. As a scientist, I gained a great appreciation for the complexity of cells, systems and how essential agriculture, both plants and animals, was to our existence. Agri-Science/business became my passion. When first visiting Skaneateles, it was this magical place where all the ecosystems coalesced (water, land, and community) and business opportunities presented themselves. I started Anyela’s (grandmother's first name) from a green site in 2001, and it continues to grow through my own personal investment. My children are following their own passion and indeed are quite accomplished in their chosen fields. Unfortunately, Anyela’s is not part of their dream to carry on the legacy. In addition to Anyela’s, I have many other interests: aviation, product and business development ventures, travel and family. At this stage in my life, it is time to pursue those passions. Therefore, with a heavy heart, it is time to move forward and allow other visionaries to take Anyela’s to the next level." - Jim Nocek
